Description:
Centre College’s inaugural STEM Summer Camp is looking for 5 students from each surrounding county to participate in a week-long program involving lab tours, STEM enrichment activities, and fun science demos! Students will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with Centre College’s campus while engaging in STEM activities, such as physics, chemistry and mathematics. In addition to enriching STEM projects and lab experiences, students will learn about the college application process, how to create a successful application package, and what types of financial aid are available at various institutions.
Daily Schedule & Example Activities
1. Lab Tour (Reptile Lab, Fluids Lab, Chemistry Lab, Math-Sports Analytics)
2. Lunch (provided)
3. STEM Activity & Science Demos
(science experiments, 3D printing, DIY electronics kits, physics olympics)
4. Admissions Information
(tour of campus, how to apply for college, financial aid information)
